Hi guys, on this occasion i would be disscuss about one of the batik’s motive from Bekasi that the source were I directly obtained from the creator. His name is Mr. Ridwan Marhid who also become a leader of Dewan Kesenian Bekasi (DKB). Bekasi city is a place for many artist who gattered, it starting from a individual person until a bunch of society who upholds the arts value and also Bekasi traditional arts.

The Government of Bekasi city has arrange to attend a competition for making of Bekasi batik’s motives.  A Bekasi’s batik were officialy innaugurated by the Major of Bekasi city, Mr. Rahmat Effendi and Vice Major of Bekasi city, Mr. Ahmad Syaikhu together with the 17th anniversary of Bekasi city.

Mr. Ridwan are made a 3 motive of batik that it named goes to “Rumah Adat dan Budaya kota Bekasi”, “Flora Fauna”, and also “Budaya Kota Bekasi”. These Batik’s motives are consist of many shades that is a patriot religion, traditional house, cork fish, the harp, coconut flower, cape flower, lotus and also lingi grass.

The three of it’s motives and another ones now has been trademark by the Government of Bekasi city. To reach the information about the meaning of these three batik’s motives, the author were have an opportunity to interview him on his residence on Thursday, December 14th. 2017.

Question : How’s the history about Bekasi city ?

Answer : "Once upon a time, Bekasi city were known by the healthy region and actually had a good irrigation arrangement. That is why Bekasi once recorded as a most rice barn. On Bekasi there are many villages that is name started with “Rawa” just like Rawa Tembawa, Rawa Bugel, Rawa Kalong, Rawa Bebek and else."

Question : What is the value meaning for the Patriot Religion motive ?

Answer : "The meaning of Patriot Religion is representing for the people of Bekasi that is religous and also symbolized a spirit of patriotism."

Question : What is the value meaning for the Traditional House motive ?

Answer : "Tradition House motive is a special constructions design. Traditional House is a reprentative by the most of culture for the society."

Question : What is the value meaning for the Cork Fish motive ?

Answer :  "Cork Fish are respresenting the region of Bekasi that is have many swamp and lush."

Question : What is the value meaning for The Harp ?

Answer : "The harp are sorrounded by the harp leaf, it symbolized a traditional fruit from Bekasi that is still exist until now."

Question : What is the value meaning for Coconut Flower ?

Answer : "Coconut flower is a symbol for the coconut fruit where it’s so usefull, from the seeds, leafs, sticks, root, flesh, water, even until the fiber that all so usefull."

Question : What is the value motive for Flower Cape ?

Answer : "Flower Cape are colorized a purple that is representing for imagination, attractive, ambitious, and luxurious. Flower Cape is representing of Bekasi city that is have a lot of swamps."

Question : What is the value meaning for Lingi Grass motive ?

Answer : "Lingi Grass is a representing to powerfull that is meaning for the strongest and lush just like a Bekasi city that has a lot of swamps."

For each of Bekasi batik’s motive are featured the tradition and identity of Bekasi city that inspired by the nature like animals and plant, the monument of history, culture, region pottentional, and also the urband legend that is living on the people of Bekasi city.

All those things were poured on the batik’s motive who representing for the culture of Bekasi. A marks on the motive itself were contained of relationship as a story concept that is got from the history, arts, culture, flora, fauna and color that is representing the character of Bekasi city with resemble of each motives who is the iconic of the city or else an iconic of arts that is representative of the city of Bekasi.

HOW TO MAKE KUE SERABI

SERABI CAKE

I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali has installed toilets specially designed for passengers traveling with young children. It was part of a series of innovations the airport's management has made to improve service for their customers.

“Most of the toilets in public areas are designed for adults. Now, we have provided toilets for toddlers,” said Yanus Suprayogi, general manager of state-owned airport operator PT Angkasa Pura I office at Ngurah Rai International Airport on Friday.

Inside each restroom, customers can find two types of toilets, one for adults and one for toddlers. The children's toilets come with safety belts.

Parents can use the adult toilets in the same stall as the children, enabling them to supervise their children.

“As the airport management, we will evaluate and monitor the quality of our services and facilities,” Yanus said as quoted by Antara.

Indonesian Toilet Association chairperson Naning Adiwoso praised and welcomed the innovations used in the toilet design.
